Recent Cards

With baby #2 on the way, I haven't been card-making as much as I'd like lately, but I did get a few in the last few weeks.  Never too early to start on the Christmas cards, I say.  I love these snowflake punches I got a few years back.  The little one is Fiskars and the big one is EK Success.  Also the floral fusion die by Stampin Up and the polka dot embossing folder- love!  Thanks for stopping by.

I've been having fun with my new card making supplies that my wonderful hubby got me for Mother's Day and my birthday (6 days later).  Here are the latest...

Cheery Cards

Happy Thursday!  I thought I'd share some of my recent card creations.  The inspiration for these two are from here.  I love this cheery paper and the flower stickers by Martha Stewart.  These cards make me feel happy.  :)

My inspiration for this one came from here.  This cute plaid paper is from the same set as the polka dots above.
I think I'll make some more of this one 'cause it was so simple.  The sentiment is a rub-on, and the flower is a Martha Stewart sticker.  I love the black polka dot paper, and was so happy to find it on a 6 for $1.00 sale at Michaels.  :)
The inspiration for this one is here.  I liked the layout, so I used my flower fusion die by Stampin' up, a Cuttlebug embossing folder and replaced the kraft paper with pink for some cheeriness.
The inspiration for this one I found here.  I didn't have the nice lattice background, but I thought kraft on kraft designer window die worked well.
This one I cased from here.  I had green polka dotted paper instead of yellow, so I switched the colors around a bit to make it work.

February & March Cards

Here are some Valentine Cards I made in February.  This one uses the scalloped edge punch & a discontinued heart punch from Stampin' Up.  The background is a paisley embossing folder by Provo Craft for Cuttlebug.  I found the inspiration here.
This one uses the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Three dies, Stampin' Up Square Lattice embossing folder & Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Dies.
This style I have tried before with stars instead of hearts (forgot to take a picture before sending it, of course).   I got the inspiration here.  It turned out to be a cute valentine.
This one I cased from here.  I love the polka dots!
This one I cased from here.  I like the circles with hearts in them.  Might try with stars and other shapes as well.  Maybe musical notes?  ;)
This one I cased from here with a few exceptions- I didn't have the label she used, so I used Nestabilities
and I didn't have the 12 x 12 papers stack, so I used the sentiment from the 8 x 8 stack on top of textured paper.  I also used a white button with bakers twine rather than a pink button since I didn't have that color available.
This one I got the inspiration from here.  I failed miserably at copying the flower, so I opted for a bow instead.  I do think her colored paper on top of a black card pops much better though, so I'll try that sometime too.
The inspiration for this one is here.  I decided to use some dimensional heart stickers I got for $.99 at Walmart rather than the punched hearts.  The sentiment is a Stampin' Up rub-on.  The die is a tree by Memory Box.
The inspiration from this one is here.  I wanted a masculine card and I didn't have the ship stamp, but I thought this classic pickup truck would work well.
My inspiration for this one comes from here.  I used a Hero Arts stamp instead of the Stampin' Up one from Feeling Sentimental, but they look almost identical other than the size.  I stamped the bicycle in distress ink and restamped it 3 more times to achieve the look of movement.  I used the same distress ink around the edges of the paper and on the subsequent torn layers.  The sentiment is a rub-on by Stampin' Up!
The inspiration for these three came from here.  I had these diecuts around for several years that I could never figure out how to use, so I was glad to finally find a way to use them.  I thought these would make some good masculine cards and I have such a hard time coming up with those.

This Take a Spin stamp set by Stampin' Up is a lot of fun.  I got the inspiration for this card here.  I used a Sizzix large scallop die (there are 2 layers but it's hard to tell in the bad photo, sorry).
The inspiration for this one I found here .  This one has been going around Pinterest for a long time and I've tried several variations on it 'cause I love the black/bright color ensemble.  For this one I used Stampin' Up! scallop edge punch, a Happy Birthday flourishy rub-on, a Martha Stewart flower sticker and Martha Stewart label sticker.
This is an older Stampin Up! set, Tart 'n Tangy, that I haven't used for awhile.  I love finding ideas on Pinterest so I can get out those old sets and get some use out of them.  :)  I cased this one from here

The circle on square idea let me to this one.  I used the scalloped border die (2x) by Sizzix as well.

This one uses a diecut from the same modern set by K & Company as the rounded leaves up above.  I just embossed the background and slapped some dimensional squares on the back of the die and it made a really quick and clean card.
This is also a diecut from that same collection.  I cut two circles and layered them slightly off center so they'd look more modern, then layered the diecut on top with some dimensionals.
I have created a few of these diagonal striped cards.  I love that you can use scraps up and have it look so cute.  The sentiment is a rub-on from Stampin Up.  The inspiration for this card is here.

I love the new "Thanks" die:
This is the Stampin' Up Petite Pennants Builder Punch:

Paisley Embossing Folder & Martha Stewart Flower Sticker
Petite Pennants Builder Punch & Stamp Set
Fun Spinner Card that I found on Pinterest and cased
