Summer Days

I started this card for Mother's day and ended up doing something different so I decided to finish it up for someone in the future.  I used a flower punch for the flowers but freehand cut the leaves myself.  The flower portion of the card pulls out so you can write below.

I needed a graduation card for a family member and they graduated from Stanford, so I decided to do a red card and play around with my Silhouette a bit.  I downloaded a baseball font because I liked the swoosh below (Branboll- a free one you can find many places online).  For the Silhouette cut files, click here.  For the inside, I used a Silhouette template I found here.  For the tassel I used the Sizzix tassel die.

I love the font for this "Thanks" from W Plus 9, "Hand-lettered Thanks" set.  It looks classy and I love that you can pair other words with it or leave it by itself.

This one is a remake of a card I made awhile ago.  I am making some card sets for friends birthdays, so I made a few of these since they are cute and quick to make.

This one I cased from here.  I already had some polka dot background paper so I used that, but next time I will definitely have to try the honeycomb embossing folder- so fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Heatwave

We had temperatures in the 100's last week so I spent most of my time indoors to avoid the heat.  Oh, darn - an excuse to make cards.  I don't know how people ever get bored, because as a crafty person, there is never enough time to make all the crafts and cards I have in mind.  :)

The first is just a simple one using Birthday Wishes (by Pebbles) paper and coordinating die cuts.  I added wink of stella to the top of the party hat for some shimmer.

This next one is inspired by all the diagonal cards coming out lately and the sentiment splits by Papertrey Ink.  I just cut the paper at a diagonal since I don't have the specific dies.  The flowers are die cuts from Essentials by Ellen.  The sentiment is a rub-on from Pebbles.

Here is another version of it.  I cut out some flowers on my silhouette and the sentiment is a rub-on from Pebbles.

This card just looks so summery and happy to me.  I got the inspiration for
it here.

...and here is another verison using a smaller button on the "sun".

The inspiration from this one came from here.

The inspiration for the three following ones came from here.  I just thought the layout was so cute and after trying one card I had to try a couple more.  I can see many possibilities with this one in the future too.

For this one I cut out the strawberry using clip art and my silhouette.

The owl stamp is from Stampin' Up Fox & Friends, and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

This one is a fun spinner card.  I haven't used them in a while so I thought it was time to pull them out again and try something new.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up (Take a Spin) and the banner punch below as well.

This is another card featuring Stampin Up's Fox and Friends set.  So cute!  I found my inspiration here.  This sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp (Big Birthday Wishes)

Lastly, I used the die cuts from Pebbles to make this fun party card.  The ballon ties and tails are rub-ons from Quikutz but I don't think they are in business any longer.  :(
