Fun Times

I've been having some fun trying some of the more modern looks of stamping lately...  I'm usually more of a floral person, but I love the polka dots and hexagons that are popular.  I'm also new at using sequins on cards and am trying to play around with them a bit.

This first card uses a silhouette file of a poloroid frame and a Happy Birthday die.

This next one uses the Wish Big stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and the label dies, banner punch and hexagon embossing folder from Stampin' Up. Found my inspiration here.

I tried it again with the paper piercing on the larger label and left off the banners this time.  I just got this new embossing folder so of course I had to try that too.

Then I had to try it in blue.  :)

The layout for this one I saw here.  I didn't have the right floral stamp so I decided to try cherries instead.   Then I thought I'd try it with the floral fusion die too.

This one uses the Clearly Besotted Simply Scrumptious stamp set.  Love the strawberries!  And the sentiment is from hand-lettered Thanks by W Plus 9.

Used the sentiment again here.  Can't get enough of that cute font!

Here we are with the banner die again.  Thought I'd try it in black and white this time with a touch of red.  A little bit sassy.  Similar to the one I made here.

And last, but not least, here's the card I made for my hubby for Father's day.  On the outside it looks like a nice shirt and tie type card...

...but on the inside it's Superman. And  he is my hero - working all day long and commuting 1 & 1/2 hrs each way, and then teaching an online class for BYU-Idaho in the evenings. What a guy! Got the idea for this one here.  Found a Superman clipart and made a cut file for my silhouette, and cut the tie with the silhouette as well.  For the shirt, I just folded the corners down to make the collar and free-hand cut out a pocket.
