Christmas cards galore!

 Hello again,

I am back to share some of the Christmas cards I've been making the past few weeks.  If you missed my previous post, you'll want to take a look at those as well.

One of my favorites, the card in a box, although it is quite time consuming!

Love this pop-up type diorama card. So easy to make and yet impressive.

This was my first time trying this "flat pop-up card" and I liked the results because it worked so well with the paper pad I bought from Echo Park.

Hope you saw something to inspire you today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Countdown to Christmas

Hello friends!  I have recently returned to cardmaking full-force after having my kids start school full-time this fall and having all my kids in school for the first time ever.

Do you struggle with cardmaking ADHD like I do?  I have so many fun ideas going on in my head at one time it's hard to settle on one at a time.  Although Pinterest is wonderful for inspiration, it can also add to the overwhelm 250%!

This year I have decided to make all my Christmas cards.  In the past, I've waited until too late in the year and got maybe 20 cards ready in time, but had to purchase the rest, and then I have to decide who is special enough to get a handmade card rather than a store-bought one.

So, I started back in September and I'm happy to have over 30 cards done so far.  I could have more if I duplicated them but I really like the creativity of making each card different and unique.  I have also tried some new-to-me fun folds this year in the hopes of using some of my older stamps and dies in a different and creative way.

Without further ado, here are a few my favorites.  I'll share the rest of them in future posts.

Back To School

It's been way, way, way too long, my friends!  I have been buried in normal day to day things with kids since they've been home 24/7 for over a year, but this week school starts and all mine will be in school for the first time.  I hardly know what to do with myself!  I did get around to making some cards this year but haven't had any time to post them.

These first ones feature text I cut out with my Silhouette Portrait.  If you don't have an electronic cutting machine, you're missing out.  I love making cards with stamps and dies, but a Silhouette or Cricut really opens the world.  Imagine, being able to cut any thing you can think of!

This bicycle is a cute die-cut pre-printed from Doodlebug, I think.  I love what quick cards you can make with them.

These darling sea-life creatures are from Papertrey Ink Salt Air.  I didn't buy their dies initially for the seaweed, got some other brand on Amazon, but I have since bought Papertrey's when they had everything on a great sale.

I think this last card is my favorite for today- I had pieces I had previously stamped and die cut lying in a dish for later and assembled them in an arrangement that just felt good to me.

I'm glad to be back and will hopefully be blogging much more often now that I'll have some personal time.

Thanks for stopping by!
