Many Anemones in Yellow | The Great Cover Up Challenge

Spring Greetings!

Hope it is spring where you are (or will be very soon!). We've had spring-like weather the past month or so, even getting up in the 90's last week, but this week has been some much-needed rain, for which we're very grateful here.

I was having a bit of trouble coming up with ideas so I decided to search for some card challenges to spark my creativity.  Wish I had thought of that before!  So many ideas are popping into my mind now that I can't create fast enough.

Today's cards are inspired by Papertrey Ink's The Great Cover-Up Challenge.  This week's challenge was to use yellow flowers.  I have to admit I don't make very many cards using yellow.  I tend to go for pinks, reds, and blues.  But I had so much fun creating yellow anemones today and I was excited to find that the beautiful tray my Dad made me for Christmas is a great backdrop for card photos.  Win-win!

Here are the two cards I made for this challenge.  I love the black/yellow combo even if it does remind me of a bumble bee.  :).

In this one I also used some washi tape I've had around for a while and can never think how I want to use it.  I am inspired to try using more now.

Loving these sentiment strips as another way to create a quick card!

What do you think? Does this inspire you to try something yellow?  I hope so!  I'll be back soon with some more fun spring cards I've been working on.

Thanks for stopping by!
