Today I am participating in the Card Concept #174, "How Does Your Garden Grow?" Here is the inspiration photo. I immediately knew when I saw this photo and color scheme that I had to make a door card with flowers.

Color Throwdown #690
Here's another card challenge I participated in this week. I often use blue and gray, but realized I don't ever use mustard yellow, so it was good to try something outside of the ordinary. Here's the inspiration photo. I love the pillow- in fact my living room colors are blue, white and grey, so it would look great on my sofa! :).

Simon Monday Challenge
Hello again,
I'm back again so soon! Another card challenge I decided to create for this week is Simon's Monday challenge. In the Designer Spotlight, they used paints and inks to create their unique cards. I decided to use watercolor for a softer, spring-y look. The Sweet Peas are blooming in my garden right now so I was excited to pull out this stamp and try and re-create the look I've been enjoying (if only I could capture the smell!)
Many Anemones in Yellow | The Great Cover Up Challenge
Spring Greetings!
Hope it is spring where you are (or will be very soon!). We've had spring-like weather the past month or so, even getting up in the 90's last week, but this week has been some much-needed rain, for which we're very grateful here.
I was having a bit of trouble coming up with ideas so I decided to search for some card challenges to spark my creativity. Wish I had thought of that before! So many ideas are popping into my mind now that I can't create fast enough.
Today's cards are inspired by Papertrey Ink's The Great Cover-Up Challenge. This week's challenge was to use yellow flowers. I have to admit I don't make very many cards using yellow. I tend to go for pinks, reds, and blues. But I had so much fun creating yellow anemones today and I was excited to find that the beautiful tray my Dad made me for Christmas is a great backdrop for card photos. Win-win!
Here are the two cards I made for this challenge. I love the black/yellow combo even if it does remind me of a bumble bee. :).

Many Anemones
One of my new favorite stamp/die sets is Many Anemones from Papertrey ink. There are so many great things you can do with this set! If you like coloring with Copics, you can color the flowers or even watercolor them. If you prefer to just die cut, you can do that, or stamp and cut. So it is really a great set for everyone.
Here are few of the cards I have made with this set recently.
Another favorite is a new die set I got by Karen Burniston--I'd never seen her dies before but came across the Cupcake Pop-up 1008 and thought it'd be so much fun. And it is! You can use just the cupcake like I did, or as a pop-up inside the card. I'll feature that in a future post.
Valentines
I meant to post in February didn't get around to it. Hard to believe it's already March. This year is flying by! Today I have some Valentines to share that I made last month.
I took a break from cardmaking after making all my Christmas cards for 2021 in October and November. I still made a few last-minute birthday cards but not more than one at a time.
Then in February the creative juices began to flow again. I'm gradually creating a crafting space with some cupboards. I was displaced from my craft room when my husband began working from home 2 years ago and even though his company kept saying they'd be in the office again in 3 months, we know how that goes. It's now two years later and there is no talk of returning to the office, so I am making my craft space in our master bedroom more permanent.
Not that I'm not glad to have him working from home and not commuting. He had a 1/2 hour commute for a few years, but prior to that he worked in the city and commuted 2 hours each way. With three kids 4 and under, that was really hard for all of us. Fast forward to now, where he just has to walk to the bedroom next door (the office) to begin his workday.
Anyway, back to the Valentines. I made some sketches of cards I wanted to try and these are the cards I came up with. The pictures aren't the greatest since my good camera broke on a hike last year and I haven't got it repaired. But I think you get the idea...
Love this fold. I made several Christmas cards using this fold as well.
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas cards galore!
Hello again,
I am back to share some of the Christmas cards I've been making the past few weeks. If you missed my previous post, you'll want to take a look at those as well.
This was my first time trying this "flat pop-up card" and I liked the results because it worked so well with the paper pad I bought from Echo Park.
